I put this cradle together so I could safely install and remove the Dana 60 from my car. I tried to do it with a floor jack but it was just too unstable. With this cradle bolted to my trans jack the rearend is very stable and I can control the placement into the car.
I built an adapter to hang a 727 transmission from my engine stand. This lets me rotate it around for easy assembly and disassembly. I also made a bracket that lets me pick up the transmission and move it around the shop with the crane.
