Hi fellas,
The air inlet throttle valve on my DA broke. Has any one found a replacement part? CP has discontinued production of this little plastic item. KF124233.

I fabbed this years ago to support my engine when dropping the transmission out. Thin wall tubing, 1/2" all thread rod, and 10/12 gauge strap. Of course, it only works with torsion bar suspension. A 2x4 would do the job too.

I just read the post on adjusting front wheel bearings and it made me think about my wrenches. I have accumulated these in the last 55 years.

Last December I picked up the new 10'x10' 2" thick insulated garage doors for my shop. Today I finished the installation (minus the weather strip)! A good friend assisted me over the three days it took (hey, I'm old). This set of doors has four lites per door so it's like being in a whole new...
The boss informed me that she wanted a wheel hoe for the garden, so I constructed one. I posted it here as it uses the bottom leaf from my original 65 Coronet springs. I figured spring steel should hold an edge so out came the 9" Milwaukee sander/grinder and I made short work of putting a sharp...
I had some spare time so I built a grit collector for the grinder I bought 5 years ago. I did shorten the all thread rods after the photo session.

Hi fellas,
I shortened a push loc hose already installed in my car so I man handled the fitting as far as I could but, needed more, of course. So, I designed and built a assembly press for push loc assembly. It worked pretty good.

The rear rotors would not come off my son's 2006 Town and Country and I did not want to wait for a store bought puller so I made one. It will work on 16" and smaller drums and rotors. I had all the materials in stock.

Hi fellas,
In another post I mentioned I was fabricating a valve lash tool, to save money. I found a 12 point 1/4 drive socket in my stash and made the rest from my steel collection. That's a piece of heat shrink tubing on the handle.

Hi fellas,
I had to use this table I made years ago for detail cutting aluminum sheet so I thought someone else could use one too. Just scrap I had in my stash. Take the sole plate off the saw and use it for a drill pattern on the top, drill a blade clearance hole and screw the two together. I...
Hi fellas,
I made this with a 1/2" bolt and a split pin that fit the notch in the heater nipple. Should work good on a new install but, not having tried yet, I don't know if the split pin will hold up for removal of old nipples. I may have to buy a hardened pin to make it tough enough.

Hi Fellas,
My buddy gave me a Chinese bench grinder, said it had no power (the cheap ones don't) but, I wanted it to sharpen lathe cutters so it was good enough. Of course I had to make a matching stand for it.

I just bought this set as my old pliers seem to have worn out after 45 years of use Made in Germany and really nice!

Hi fellas,
Has anyone considered building a two story shop and using a 4 post lift as a car elevator?
The lift would have to be modified to gain more height but, it's cheaper to build up than out.

Hi Fellas,
As I mentioned in my "pig" removal thread, I'm not the man I used to be so I whipped up this servo compressor tool . Some of the return springs have a lot of tension (they can shoot all over the shop) so I needed some leverage help. This filled the need, just used scrap I had.

Hi fellas,
After losing both upper bicep muscle attachments and having both rotator cuffs repaired I'm not the man I used to be, so when I needed to pull my 8 3/4 pig I whipped this up:
60" of 1 1/2"X 3/16" angle iron and an afternoon.

Hi fellas,
Yesterday (7-4-17) I had my main shop professionally cleaned. 3 young women showed up and went to town on the walls, lights, fans, plumbing fixtures, cabinets, etc.. I contracted with a local company and the girls wanted to work on the 4th.
The results are good and the smell is...
