I'm asking here because I believe the "Resto-Mod" folks are more likely to drive in the ways I intend to vs the Racing Forum.
Although I am having a Bill Mitchell aluminum RB block make the foundation of my 572 stroker engine, I'm going that route to improve my chances of longevity, reliability...
The alignment shop suggested that I ask the forum for caster, camber, toe in, and any other kind of "custom" data in hard numbers that I can pass along to them to plug into the alignment machine. They used factory parameters as a baseline, but I don't have any factory parts left in my...
Single or dual, electric. I don't know if or how a mechanical fan would fit, but I'm open to that.
Aluminum 541 stroker 6bbl. build w/appx 700HP and 700 torque moving forward.
Warmed over 440 6bbl. doing power duty until then.
South Louisiana and Mississippi heat and humidity. Just added Vintage...
I'm asking mainly because my first experience with one of the TWO Wraptor systems we bought back in October of 2019, and it just so happens that the one for my wife's 65 GTO was installed first, the mechanic (and I by proxy) have had a number of problems to overcome. I think that CVF should have...
I am posting a new, dedicated thread on the NEW RTX series gauge system from Dakota Digital, because over the last week, as I mentally wrestled with the decision to either keep the VHX series that I bought in 2016 but never installed OR put the VHX up for sale (for $700) and spend $700 MORE for...
So about 3+ years ago I bought a VHX Dakota Digital gauge system from an authorized local dealer installer. I kept seeing the gauges on the back cover of my Classic Industries catalog next to the throne, and decided to get it.
Well now that my car is in the shop and the Dakota Digital gauges are...
I have USCT subframe connectors on the way. Since my 70 Roadrunner is a real V-code car, I know it has torque boxes.
I think I know where the rear ones are, and I took pictures. I'd like someone who KNOWS what they look like to confirm that I have them, or am I looking in the wrong place?
Rear...
I've owned my QA1 K-member and sway bar...
and complete front suspension system for a year now...
the only non QA1 part being the upper control arms which are these SPC UCAs
I already have 2 way adjustable Viking front shocks.
I've been waiting to get it installed until I could take...
...the Wilwood kit uses stock DRUM spindles, and the ones I took off years ago to install the Right Stuff disc brake conversion are long gone.
Looks like no new drum spindles are available, and I hate the idea of buying used spindles for a very high end disc brake.
Any ideas?
I still have to...
I have a complete new front suspension coming. QA1 everything except for the UCAs which are from SPC.
The whole order is:
QA1 tubular K-member, LCAs, dynamic strut rods, sway bar, tie rod sleeves. SPC UCAs.
I am going to keep using my existing torsion bars.
My goal is NOT better handling...
The focus of my front suspension swap is cruising and drag racing, not cornering so much. QA1 has their "stage 1, 2" kits, specifically for handling OR drag racing. If I recall, they said the only difference between the 2 is the front sway bar, which I could remove if it inhibits my front end...
I am posting this here because I believe that you pro touring guys should have lots of suspension info. My 70 Roadrunner (440 6bbl, 4 speed, Dana 60) has a lot of wheelspin in drag racing applications. On my wish list is traction improvement and front suspension replacement. I am considering a...
