Bought a set of headers at MATS last weekend and decided to restore them prior to the install.....had to clean them and paint them up, but I had to figure out a way to hang them.......
Picked these up at MATS yesterday, seller told me they came off a 1965 Belvedere 383. Mfg stamp reads Direct Connect with two arrows pointing at each other, the #9436 is clearly visible. I've searched online but not much info on them other than possibly made by Doug's or American Racing.....Any...
I have a set of "Gemini" headers that supposedly came off of a 1960's era 383/440 motor. Wondering if they might fit my 1969 stock 383 motor. Is there some sort of measurement I could do that would give me an idea as to whether they will fit or not...the engine is currently in my 65 Coronet.
I have researched everywhere I can think of and still don't know for sure whether they will fit 65 Coronet with 69 383 stock motor.
Some say they fit some say the torsion bars are in the way.......
Is $150 reasonable for installing a set of 3 to 4 ft long head pipes, going from the stock 383 exhaust manifolds to the transmission, no mufflers.
I've been trying to find a set of pipes to install myself but haven't found anything yet.
