About this Mopar:
My first car purchased in 1978 when I was 12 y/o. Was delivering mail with my dad when we came across her. "Stop the car dad! I want that car!"
Like the movie scene from Christine, I asked the old man on the porch "how much for the old Plymouth?" He asked "what are you gonna do with a car, you're too young"
I said "I got four years to fix it up for when I get my license". He said "$50 bucks"
Ran back to the car "Dad give me fifty bucks, I'll work it off!".
Paid the man, took the eggs out of the battery tray and closed the partially open hood and towed "Belle" home. Put a distributor and a set of plug wires on it
(someone stole the original, thus why it was parked) and she turned over about 3 times and came to life!
Living in the country, the Blue Ridge Mountains, every time mom and dad had to "go into town" me and Belle was kicking up dust on Rural Route 608!
Going to restore her after I finish my 66 Plymouth Satellite! The other photo's I posted!
