About this Mopar:
Sorry, but my pictures were too big and I didn't know this posted.
For years I had restored cars for others and seeing the amount of money spent on rust repair made me a broken record of " look it over before you buy it and get the most rustfree car you can." Not one to take my advice, i bought a basketcase 72 Charger from a friend that needed EVERYTHING but was solid underneath. After playing with that a couple of years and not getting anywhere, I added up what the sheetmetal and paint supplies were going to cost and went shopping, not really expecting to find anything. One day on dodgecharger.com someone posted a link to a 74 charger and since I had decided to put 74 taillights in the 72, I looked to see if he listed any parts. What I found in the pictures was the first 73-74 to trip my trigger! I got to admit, I love options and it had plenty, with the sunroof and all. I was further intrigued when he told me it had come from CA and was rustfree! Not what one expects to find in WI. And on top of that it had a 360 4 barrel, 727, 8 3/4 which was just right for the number one girlfriend and I to cruise around. The green took a little getting used to but it has grown on us. Its amazing how well kept it is for 117,00 miles but it was a factory undercoat car on top of it's CA heritage. It has some dents and it needs seat covers, vinyl top, and headliner but those are minor. Plans are to drive it, fix whats broke and drive it some more. I'm very pleased with what I found for my budget and I'm glad I took my own advice for a change. Hope you enjoy the pics. Pm if you have a 74 or a sunroof!!!
