Preliminary pic's, potential 73 Charger SE build..

Cleaned up with some real elbow grease and a scrub brush, almost ready to attempt the engine start.It's definitely a good car, I just can't see scrapping it out, virtually no rust, minor spots on the roof edge at windshield corner, not scary.

About this Mopar:

Brought it home, looking it over real good, so far I'm excited, there's a solid car here with almost no rust to speak of, still shiny where it turns down on the quarters and lower doors. Better look and a clean up coming tomorrow. Already found some goodies in it digging around, looks like a majority of the wiring has been replaced, not finished, but a great bunch is done already.
Adding some more pics, playing around and "mocking up" some trim and looking at what's to be...lol.. this is the best way to try and show other people who can't see it like we do...
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure this fender tag say's it's supposed to have a white vinyl top?

Nice find. Never like to see a motor with an open Carb without its air breather. Unless you're planning on tearing it down. I have not had good luck with a motor without the breather on the motor. Good luck with the project.

Woof! There's a lot of work there. I like that color though, and if she has good bones and most of her parts, that's a great starting point.
I've been on the fence about a 72 I found here in Ohio. I have a 440 waiting to go into it, but it too is a big project.
Enjoy the build, Gary! Can't wait to see the progress.

Made a second look, I really liked it, I traded my 1974 Javelin project for it. I really don't see me parting it out, I couldn't get underneath it but top side is completely solid, no rust through anywhere.. I'm not scared of a challenge, so I'm pretty sure I'm building this Charger..I really like it. I took a few more pics but decided to wait till I pick it up Monday/Tuesday.

That being said I may be looking for a nice vintage breather soon...lol

Got it cleaned up a bit today, vacuumed out carb thoroughly, used a small brush and got it cleaned up nicely while vacuuming. Covered it up real good and grabbed the leaf blower. Then grabbed the psi washer and then scrubbed it down like crazy and psi washed again.

So are you going full on resto. What type shifter dose it have. Is it a console car bucket seat's. Good luck on restoring the car. Hope it dose not turn into a lot of work. :thumbsup:

Took my time cleaning it up, vacuumed the carb thoroughly, covered it up and cleaned up the car. Cleaned out the fuel cell that's in the trunk, new inline filter on the fuel line, located correct wires, installed battery, poured gas in the carb and hotwired a start up... she's running, loud on open headers, but sounds good so far

Okay y'all, now that I have established that I have a nice running 318 in here, time to pull it out....
I am on my way to Arizona, (Payson area), where I am picking up a 440 with a 727 trans. Both were pulled from a running RV. I might very well have two 440's pulled from RV's..(wouldn't that make my '74 Scamp fly??)
Anyways, I'mma post on the shipping thread in case anyone needs parts transported or anything.

No pics yet. I'm hoping to get back over there within the next few weeks, and I'll take a bunch.
