1967 Barracuda Progress

About this Mopar:

Year
1967
Make
Plymouth
Model
Barracuda
Bought this running 67 Barracuda 4spd car some 8 years ago. According to VIN it came as 273 Commando/4spd combo. Has a 340 w/489 rearend with 323:1 SureGrip but not sure if the 489 is factory. It has the small bolt pattern axles/wheels. Has been a slow progress project. Thought I would post a few progress pics if anyone interested in one of these body styles.
Fenders/doors/hood/grill assembly/trunk lid front and rear glass removed. Metal brought down to bare metal. Single stage paint job in original MM1 Turbine Bronze Metallic according to VIN tag with 7 block sanding/prime passes looking for small dents/dings,20151123_140218-1.jpg20151126_181659.jpg20151220_170928.jpg20160130_180343.jpg20160724_093147.jpg20161018_130535.jpg20161018_132837.jpg20170401_132731.jpg20170419_122624.jpg20170423_190944.jpg20170528_195753.jpg20170604_163647.jpg according to paint guy. Only deviation was that we went with Urethane based materials. Sheet metal work done at my shop, except for replacing lower rear quarters. Found putty in them on both sides, so we replaced with AMD panels.20190507_181148.jpg20210628_191510.jpg20210628_191545.jpg20210919_163243.jpg20210919_163252.jpg20210919_163256.jpg20210919_163347.jpg Let us know what you think.

Wow, That is beautiful! If I had money I'd offer to buy it right now! Best of luck with it! By the way, you should first introduce yourself in the welcome wagon section!

Yes sir, I introduced myself in Welcome Wagon first and a few folks asked for pics.

Thanks for the likes.

Thanks again all for the positive comments and likes. I was really searching for a 68-69 440 RR to restore when I ran across this car a few miles from my home. I had only seen a couple in my life and I'm 50.......? I thought well, I'll give it a shot it, being a 67 and I think first year of this body style and if I'm not mistaken maybe first year of this color on the Barracuda. Some more experienced mopar folks may correct me on that though. Anyway, the fewer I see at local car shows the more it kinda grows on me. I've only seen one other 67 fastback and it was all tubbed out as a drag car but it was nice! I work so much that I don't get out to many of the larger shows in my state of Oklahoma, so there may be more of these out there than I think.

Very Nice!! Hope mine turns out that good. Noticed the blue engine color, is that a post 71 engine?
