Sorry about some of the photos quality, I'm no photographer...

Comments

I have to agree bobtile... I hope to finally have mine finished this spring or summer

Now, the way I understand it, you have givin your car the name, of a female dog. lets be frank about this, would'nt it sound better with a male dog name, such as, BRUTE or BRUTTUS!!! AAARRGG. By the way, is your choc. lab, if im not mistaken, male or female?

Beautiful car as it stands, I love it ! Don't need no "show paint" to shine in my eyes. You may not be a photographer, but being an engineer, artist and writer with good taste combined ain't nuthin to sneeze at in my opinion! Nice work! :)

Thanks multimopes, those were very nice & kind words...
It's still in the Ultra Flat black, a few changes a few more nicks too...LOL
I will eventually paint it, the org. LL1 someday, I'm not in any hurry,
I need to tear it all apart when it's finally done, to do it right...
BUT;
I care more about the performance & drivability, than show/bling stuff...
I'm actually amazed at how many people like the ultra flat paint,
I did it org. to seal the car, when I moved back in 2007,
after body work, I didn't want just primer on it, I knew it'd be a while,
before she's finished {long story}...

I really just got used to driving her that way...

It's got color
It ain't perfect by any means
a garage paint job still needs a cut & buff

She's beautiful! I love the color. Nice work. Looks great to me. Hell, mine was painted by Maaco! "The Mad Russian" did it. The guy I bought the car from made them do it twice as they screwed it up the first time. Although it ain't too bad there is a nice (wet paint bug trail) across the center of the hood bulge. I think of it as a character line. It still better than I could have done! (SWEET!) :)

Yeah I know the feeling....
Thanks for the kind words...
I rarely let my car out of my own garage,
let alone someone else working on it, won't happen,
when I can do the work myself...
It's not up to my best std.'s either, but
Like I said it's not a show paint, it's a garage paint job
needs a cut & buff, it's got color...
OE LL1 Surf Turquoise metallic
it was Ultra flat black for 10 years, while I got around to paint it...
I'll take more photos when I get the rest of the stuff done &
roll it out in the driveway, take her for a cruise &
get some photos in the Sun....

How's it coming along? I know it's a slow go, I'm building a similar 69 GTX. Stay after it.

It's like molasses in Jan. slow, sometimes it
seems when I have the $$$, I don't have the time
when I have an abundance of time less $$$...

Now I have a bunch of parts & some time, finally...
Cross my fingers & toes, my dad doesn't have any health issues...
He's been doing good lately, so my optimism is high...
He's out RV-ing more of late too so that helps with my time too...

Also my next door neighbor,
who I helped build/frame off resto/custom on his 68 CJ5
is going to help me with some of the stuff,
that I need an extra hand with, under the car...
That is when he has time off, it's always something,
he's a bit younger & has a young family & demanding LEO job...

I've learned to be patient, as I age, thank goodness...
It's not going anywhere either, so I can take my time...

That's my story & I'm sticking to it...

Sweet car and I like all the personal touches that make it a one of a kind, wheels, seats , engine with enough gas flowing through it to pull a train and the hood! I like a car with a view over a Bitchin hood!! Well done!!..... Ulli.... Let The Horses Run...
