Just some pictures of before and after of the roadrunner. These pictures are a little bit of the history or the bird returning to the road.

About this Mopar:

Very solid Roadrunner to start with. Floors solid, roof, and the rest of the body was in great shape. Only needed a patch panel at the rear wheel on the driver side. Only a lower quarter panel was used. This is the First time I have undertaken something of this magnitude. Let me know what you think of my progress. I tried to stay as original as possible and even took the engine back to its OE look. Although without a fender tag it is hard to say what this car was actually equipped with.

Thanks guys.. I'm almost done with the only thing left are the decals. And i think the blower motor resistor took a crap on me. Other than that its pretty much ready to roll to the alignment shop. Will probably end up putting a new steering gear in it. Due to excessive play in the wheel.

Having issues with that piece of crap Edelbrock carburetor. I cannot get it tuned to save my life. Doesn't idle well and at higher rpms it seems to sputter. I think I'm going to have to change carbs. This thing was like brand new but I picked it up used. The warmer the car gets the shittier it runs.

Had the same problem....put a 750 DP Holley...it is now fine!....after years of fu#klng with the "AVS"

We left it as it was. The engine and the engine bay were not touched as this is a driver and we werent going to pull the engine to paint it. However never say never. :)

Had to end up pulling the engine and trans. Something popped in the transmission when I put it in reverse. Then it felt like the brakes were dragging. Ended up getting a Hughes Performance transmission and a B&M Torque Converter. And since I pulled the engine and trans together I will go through the engine and repair and replace all of the gaskets. The rear seal was leaking anyhow so this was a great opportunity to fix the small but annoying leaks at one time.

That's a great looking Road Runner and a nice build set of pictures. Any updates on your non-carb choice and how it's working out for you? :thumbsup:

Installed the Holley Sniper on the GTX and one one the Road Runner. I will tell you the GTX had an o2 sensor go bad and I had it hooked up to the acc side of the ignition. I learned fast to not do that. On the RoadRunner have had no issues what so ever. Other than burned a couple plug wires when we added headers. OOps.. replaced them with Taylor SST wires and no problems since then. But If you want a car that acts like a modern car I would go with EFI, as soon as I can afford it I will be buying one for the Dart as soon as I can get some glass back into it and shoehorn the 440 into it.
