My Belvedere II Plymouth 2 door HT

About this Mopar:

This is the car that I bought on July2,2010. The car has either a 273(according to VIN) or a 318(according to last owner), dual exhaust, headers, dual power bucket seats, Chrysler remote mirrors, power steering, power disc brakes, P235/60/15 tires, and Ansen wheels.

The car has the original 273 V8. It has been slightly modified by previous owner. I am in the process of finding out how much it will cost to have it painted.

I am in the process of getting the car repainted. It will be Galactic Blue Pearl. The bumpers, grill, headlight bezels, taillight bezels and finish panel will be done in what will
look like brushed aluminum. I think it will look good by the time it is finished. The shop said I should have back by Spring.

The body work was started on Jan 3, 2012, by a local body shop (Mobile Works). It is
really amazing what is found once they got into it. There were rally bad rust places and some pretty lame body work done by previous shops (or persons).
I feel this shop will do a good job. They have sent pictures of their progress. So far, it is looking better.
I am getting a new windshield for it, for 250.00. The only things I had to buy were the gaskets. That set me back over 300.00. I also had to get a new repair kit for
the right side of the frame (where the torsion bar fits). Other than that has pretty straight forward.

It looks like I kinda got out voted on the color I was going to paint the car. By popular
demand, I will be having the car painted very close to the original silver color that came on the car in 1967. I actually got to see the original color(it was on the inside
pillar of the windshield). Actually, it looks very good. I am adding a Ramcharger hood scoop to the car. The 440 6pack hood scoop would not fit the stock hood.
I think the silver will be a very nice color. It seems that there are alot more blue cars running around. Both my wife and I wanted something different in the color. We will not be putting the vinyl top back on the car. The exterior will be solid silver.

The car has been in the shop since Jan. It seems that whoever did the bodywork as a
total amateur. Underneath the paint was (and is) a total mess. There was alot of bodywork that needed to be done,or redone, on the car. The people I am having do the car seem to know what they are doing. So far, I have been really pleased with the work.
The car will be painted Galactic Blue Pearl (the color we originally) we decided on. It will not have a hood scoop on it after all. I want to give it a different look.
Will update as needed.
