polys got a flattened cam come to find out. Going to keep it stored for a later date.
Found a 73 motor home 440 with bb727 for $50. You read that right. $50. and yes it runs. the guy was scrapping the motor home so he plasma torched EVERYTHING other than the front of the frame, from tailshaft of 727 to radiator.
should be doing the swap late january.
