1973 RR Clone

Comments

Awesome setup! I really like the bulge hood, I assume that is '73? I want to get a similar hood for mine, mainly because I prefer it to the '72, but also so I can put 440 emblems on her.

Thank You. The RR hood for the 73 & 74 is one of my favoites, I think mine is actually a 74 hood,(no rear vents). The guy I bought it from did it, not me. The pictures are old, also, Like Me! LOL
There is a guy on here who actually grafted a 73 hood bulge onto a 72 and made it functional as well!

Sweet ride and it sits nice. It reminds me of my 72 I had same color and my step dad totaled it. I would drive that bad bear anywhere. :steering: Look like it would be fun to drive.I like the black wing but thats me.

Thanks my friends. I was here at work messing around and was going to try to upload some newer pics but had to stop as my job got in the way. I don't know how the hell I managed to do duplicates and even triplicates and that was from a few years back. "I just washed my hands and can't do a thing with them." Also, sweet senility adds a bit of humor to my rotating shift life. I also didn't know that uploading a photo throws one on the side of the home page. I really do try to maintain a low profile. I have so little time to play with the "toy" and though it's a blast to drive, some creature comforts would be nice, like power steering. By the way, the spoilers were never mounted, YET! I will be doing the black AAR spoiler and the 71 boomerangs for the front corners. I am also going to swap out the 3.91's for 3.23's so I can drive at highway speed without the engine screaming. :moparsmiley:

Best of luck, that's a long wait. I feel fortunate that mine was drivable from when I bought it. Doesn't shift work suck? I've been doing it for damn near 38 years! Missed out on life!

Thanks Dave, that's a horror story! Totaling a car is bad enough but when you total someone else's car, worse; especially one of these old baby's. By the way, my wife's family is from Ware Shoals and some still live there. Went there to see that awesome eclipse a few years back. I like it down there but would need time to adjust to the summer heat!

31 yrs straight, missed a lot of kids (now in 30s) things, did best I could, no regrets because I provided for them: bye-bye good riddens to wife, actual God-send, she's a mess, not my problem: Did lot of camping years ago, so that was good as family: new life for me since 2013, cars a big part, maybe get to Atco more!! lol. Carlisle for 16 yrs: dad brother son (Army 2005) & late brother-in-law, time passes, life happens, just me now & some friends from area go.

As my dad said in 2012, "...HE is testing you to see WHAT your made of, live your life boy! You will handle it"

Hang tuff and keep the faith. I wish my kids could stand on there own 2 feet. I have never been to Carlisle. Just Englishtown a few times. Hell, it took me 50 years to finally get to Gettysburg. These days doing nothing is mighty attractive!

WHATS STOPPING YOU SON!!! Get to Carlisle just to get some "dude/me time". Ok, yea, better check with other half (CYA!!) Make sure bring some "play/parts $$" just in case: Jan 1 my vaca goes in for it, not going to miss it. Dad had heart attack July 4 2020, got out on 8th, ORDERED me to go to Carlisle, he knows a guy has his "thing". Want to get 72 on road before I loose pop, had cab co. with 318 Furys, got an education from him, sssoooo.

I totally love your Road Runner !! I came sooo close to buying a '73 RR back in high school (same color as yours) with a 318 in it ! I wish I had !

Love the 440 in it ! what a sweet car !
