An exciting time for sure! There's just something about handing over the check and loading her up to bring her home; getting the bags and tags ready; making a place for the parts; making an appointment with the media blaster; gathering the parts you need, thinking of a name for her, etc. I'm hoping to be doing the same thing with a 66 Belvie soon. I'm very happy for you. Keep us posted on the progress.
So it's been sitting for years. Was something bought for a project but it never happened. They just wanted it gone. I've never done anything with a Dodge but could't bare to let them send it to the crusher!!!! It will be a huge learning curve for sure. Funny thing is now that I have it at my place the vultures have come out of the woodwork., Not a day goes by that someone isn't asking me to sell it to them. Very tempting!!!!!
You have a rebuild on your hands but with it you have freedom. My 68 was in about this shape when I hauled it home. You can restore it to factory or build it triple black. Tasteful small block or a big block with a blower sticking out of the hood. The possibilities are endless and no matter what the car is better off than you found it. Great score!
That is a great job of saving another Mopar. Great story
also. Wishing you the best getting her back on the road.
Keep the pics coming and let us know her name. Mike
