It has never been out of the family and it was pretty rough by the time I was Allowed to get my hands behind the wheel.
This has been a difficult 10 year restoration that has only a few more months left. Can't wait to get it back on the road. I told my wife if it's not on the road by the end of summer, it goes up for sale. Had to give myself a little incentive:).
All the work has been done in my home shop, including body and paint. No one else has done any work on this car, other than low end of engine.
Check out the custom dash cluster I made for it, turned out pretty nice!
Well, 4 back surgeries, one heart attack with a 5 way bypass, it's almost ready to drive and then, tore my rotator cuff in both shoulders. Full tear in the right and partial on the left. Going in for surgery on the right shoulder next month.
Again, project goes on hold.
10-24-20, Unfortunately, not going to be on the road this year. Surgery on my shoulder next month and most likely 8 of recovery and PT.
I was soooo close to getting it done this year :( Hate to disappoint anyone but, not putting it up for sale just yet:).
One more year, what the heck, it's been 10 already:thumbsup:

Since I'm no longer on furlough, it's hard to find time to work on it, again. Oh well, little by little:)

New headlights are working. Had to work through some wiring issues and still trying to get the outer half of the low beam halos to function as flashers.
not much longer until she's back on the road!

New gauges installed and lit up at night! Almost done with all the electrical and then countdown to ignition. I'll have it on the street by summers end, guess I'm keeping her!

Keep up the good work! Looking awesome! After putting your heart and soul into that car I think it would be very hard to part with it. Plus you have a close connection to it! Ruffcut

Thanks! I don't think I could actually put a for sale sign on it. I'm afraid I'd go straight to hell for that move.

Looking great. What headlights are you running.

They are Octane Lighting and I used a relay wiring harness from All Star Truck Parts. Easy set up but, still trying to get the outer half of the outside halo to work as a turn signal. I bought some relays that I think will do the trick, haven't installed them yet.

That thing looks badass my friend. Love what you are doing to it. Wish I could hear her.
Thanks! I can't wait to hear it myself. Still have not fired it up, working out all the electrical and gauges first.
I wonder if you can post video on our garages? Will have to look into that when I get her running.

So much for finishing the rebuild this year:( I tore the rotator cuff in both shoulders, full on the right and partial on the left. I will have surgery next month on the right and it will be about 8 months before I'm able to do any work on the car. Still might have to have surgery on the left. This might be the straw that breaks the camels back. Giving serious thought to putting it up for sale, will let you know.

That really sucks! Well, get your health back together and don't push to hurry up on the recovery. It will take a while. Be patient. The car is looking awesome and will still be there when you're ready. You might want to look into getting a young apprentice and teach and supervise the youngster. Take care and wishing you the best of luck.

Thanks.
Tends to take the wind out of your sails. I'm more pissed off than anything.

Hang in there. Good luck with the surgery. Don’t sell the car, I think you’ll really regret that. The cars not going anywhere and you’ve made a ton of great progress this year.
