66 Belvedere 2 Custom

A Belvedere 2 what If, has a 440 stroker buckets stick shift car (in progress) being built by a young gun

About this Mopar:

A Belvedere 2 what If, has a 440 stroker buckets stick shift car (in progress) being built by a young gun

440 source stroker kit
6 speed tremec sst kit
Dana 60 rear end

will be painted Satan black

first pictures are when I found it years ago it had been sitting for 15 years an only been in Canada for 20, years later a stubborn 20 year old takes it home as a birthday present

Then began the first steps of cleaning up the car and stripping it, and of course removing the engine

off to body and paint soon

Certicard is still intact and legible if anyone has photos of the place or has information about my car it would be amazing to see it, fender tag is there to if you wanna see how boring of a car it was

I guess you can thank my father for baptizing me in oil there’s a picture of me when I was just a baby in the vally of a 440 cuda

I too am a young gun in the hobby, but I unfortunately don't have a car just yet. I am very happy to hear there are more young people like me out there that are into these cars. You got my attention with the "what if" theme with the stick shift, as I love seeing something different. Also because I can't drive a stick car although I did try a couple times. Anyhow I am looking forward to seeing more pictures and progress on the car, keep em comin if ya can

Well in 66 for b body’s they didn’t have 440’s next year they did and personally I could have left the auto but I felt it would be unfair to the car muscle cars should be manual especially with a stroker 440 but glad to see another young guy and hopefully I’ll have her done before Mopar Nats

From what I see the metal in the body look's pretty darn good. A real good project car for sure.

Odd little thing is I found a pair of sunglasses in the car and like I said it’s came to Canada in the 90’s and never moved after 00’ so I know they are at least 20 years old so I think I’m gonna keep em with the car

Nice to c a young gun getting into the classics. Car has great lines. A long, hard road ahead but it will be worth the sweat and struggle. When finished, you will have a lifetime to enjoy something special.

Not my first car I started with a 65 Chrysler and I know the struggle

Careful with that satin black, it's a bitch to keep clean! I painted my hood scoop flat or satin black and you can always see which way I wiped it last. But damn it would be a cool looking car if done right! Love those 66 belles!

Thanks for the heads up but the big thing is the way I’m doing it, it will have a crap tonne of clear so to try and avoid it and thanks I’m hoping to get it almost done this year

I am new to it as well, in my 20s, and in the process of buying a 67 Coronet. Its in a better shape than the bellie. I did that intentionally because I don't live in the US and so every missing part has to be imported. I'll you know when I get it!
