1964 Plymouth Sport Fury 426 Street Wedge

My dad loved his cars and so do all of us kids. Thanks Dad.

About this Mopar:

Thought I would respond to the request for more info. Here is the story.
These pictures were taken the day of my oldest daughter's wedding. My mom and dad had a wedding picture of them in the back seat of his 64 Sport Fury, so we did something similar with my daughter and her husband.

I am my dad's oldest of 6 kids. Before I was born, he bought a 64 Sport Fury 426 Wedge exactly like this one off the show room floor at the dealership he worked at in 1964. I was born in December of 67 and some time after I was born he sold his dream car.
My dad complained all the time we were growing up that he should never have sold that car. My three brothers and I all have our first muscle cars we bought as teenagers. I have a 1970 Charger 500 that has been parked for 34 years. I am finally going to rebuild the engine and tranny 6 kids later and get it back on the road starting this winter. However, I always wanted to have and drive a 64 Sport Fury with a 426 Wedge.
In April of 2015, after a long search, dad found this matching numbers 64 Sport Fury and bought it. I got to drive it in a couple of 600 mile classic car cruises along with his 36 Plymouth Coup and 73 Plymouth Cuda. These cars brought us kids and dad closer together the last few years.
Dad had an accident in March of 2020 and rolled his Dodge Dakota. Covid stranded him in the hospital and he passed away on Memorial Day 2020. Dad talked with all of us kids the year before he passed and we decided who all got which car. I got the 64.
Every day of my life I have only had one goal, to make sure my dad was proud of me. I know he was proud of all of us kids and we miss him greatly.
