Purchased new 70 Road Runner in June of 1970. I was 19 at that time (yeah I know I'm old now, no need to do the math ;)).
RM21NOE132917. Lime Green Metallic, 383 four speed. Traded it into Don Sanderson Ford in Glendale, AZ in 1973. (If anyone knows where a bouts of this RR please let me know.) Fond memories cruising Central Ave in Phoenix looking for 396 Chevelles to pick off. ;)
Fast forward to 1994, bought another 70 Road Runner, 383 auto, yellow (driver but ran good). Wanted 4 speed so found another 70. This one had air grabber and pistol grip 4 speed. A 383 non-numbers car which I converted over to 440+6 and eventually raced it in the Pony Express 100 open road race in Nevada in 1998 (side bar: the race was held on Hwy 305 out of Austin, NV where they filmed much of Vanishing Point). Also raced it in the Bonneville 100 out of Wendover, NV in 2002 (took 1st place win in 105 class) top recorded speed was 151.6 mph. Embarrassed a lot of newer cars who couldn't compete with an old Mopar muscle car ;)). It's featured in Robert Genat's book "Six-Pack Mopar Street Muscle in the 60's" starting on page 106. It was sold on Ebay in 2004 to a Doctor (I think) in Texas. VIN RM21NOE116640 if any knows where it is today please let me know.
Fast forward again all the the way to Nov, 2016. Now I'm retired and living in Southern Utah near St. George. Got the bug again and bought and 1968 Blue Road Runner 383 four speed from a guy in Maine and had it shipped out here to my home. Nice car, electric blue. :)
OK, enough talk, on to the photos, from oldest to latest.

Great story and all beautiful rides!

I do hope you reconnect with your original bird! It will have a good home...

Thanks Moparnation74. By the way, does anyone use their real names here or is that against the rules?

There are some members that use their names. I feel more secure using a handle. Especially, when you are plastering pictures of your stuff and your location is listed...

Yeah, I guess you're right but I wouldn't think it would hurt to use a first name as long as you're not posting your last name or address. Maybe I'm too naive in my old age ;)

Wow Don!
You have owned some nice road runners. They look great. It's fun to find a Mopar guy in my neck of the desert.

I wanted to post some of the latest pics of the 68 since I've finished with the upgrades but I can't find a way to do it.

I've found that these FBBO "garages" have a limit on how many pics you can put in one and you have to start another one. That might be the issue here?
