I haven’t done front drum brakes in about 15 years, doing them on a ‘68 Satellite. The kit I got is the newer adjuster setup, ‘69 up. I’m OK with that but... It has 2 secondary springs, (longer) so I was going to reuse the original primary (shorter). But the shoes have a much bigger hole where the original primary spring would go. So I can’t use that. Do they want you to use two longer springs? And connect to the lower hole, like the secondary?
Neither factory picture shows that. Maybe the shoes I got aren’t the right ones. Has anyone dealt with this issue? Thanks!
