Localized heat and cast iron is always a bad combination. Looks like someone is ordering the aftermarket aluminum water pump housing and pump kit!

I am confused?? Why were you removing a heater hose nipple if you were working on the temp sending unit that is in front between the two bolts?

it was a sensor for the electric fan so that it turns on. Previous owner had cheap plugs in the housing. I am going to get an aluminum one from 440source
