Hi ,
will this fit ? Or 9" .
5.5" backspace
1968 diff , no spring relocation .
For a 275 radial or 10.5 radial tyre .
I know a 8" will fit

thanks

Tex

I'm running 235/60/r15" on my 65 satellite with no clearance problems my tires are on 8" keystone classics

I know an 8 inch rim should fit with with a 4" BS and no clearance issues...However, I'm guessing a 10" rim with 5.5" BS might need a spring relocation.
P.S. The recommended rim size for a 275/60-15 is 8"-10.5" so the 8" rim should work fine without modification

Ok. I realize this is not the exact combination you are running but it should give you a point of reference:
1964 Polara
15"x10" rims 4 1/4" back space
285/70R-15 tires
outside of Spring to outside of spring @ rear end 39"
wheel mount surface to wheel mount surface (drum brakes) 56"
distance from inside of tire to spring 3 1/2"

thanks for the replies
actually had a 65 belvedere in the shop this week and tried it out . Stock spring location .
15x10 5.5BS fits fine . With a 28x10.5 radial slick is maybe 3/16" clearance to spring more on outside . so for race use should be no issue . Street use would need a narrower tyre , 275?
with a 68 width diff probably be fine maybe better as it is about 7/16" wider in total
275 on a 8" with 4.5BS heaps of room .

20151207_091742-1.jpgWell I guess I got ya all beat , try N50 15" on my 63 Plymouth Sport Fury vert. I used an A body 8 3/4 and moved my rear spring shackles over a inch . Now I got 12 in. of meat on the road. Not bad for a little mud duck in Hawaii. Eh ?
