I have an 8 3/4 from a '65 Imperial that had 11 x 3" drums on it. The drum bolt pattern is too big to use on my B-body, but I like the 3" brakes instead of the 11 x 2.5" version I have on my wagon. The 11" B-body drums actually have about 3" of material on them. I bolted the Imperial backing plates with brakes on my axle and installed the B-body drum. Everything seems to mate up ok and turn without hinderance, but maybe the edge of the brakes are hanging off slightly? I don't know.

Does anyone know if correct 11 x 3" drums are available in the 4.5" bolt circle pattern? If so, on what? If not, has anyone tried using 11 x 2.5" drums with 11 x 3" brakes like I have bolted together?

Thanks.
