1178 lamps to LED replacement

Is an 1178 base the same size as an 1157 base?? Lots of 1157 LED lamps ,just want to make sure.

Yes, they are the same size base. BUT the 1157 may not work in the 1178 socket because the 1178 has pins which are directly across from each other, while the 1157's pins are indexed (offset).
