I have a 1966 plymouth belvedere and want to put 14 inch steel wheels on it with poverty caps. I would like to put a little wider tire on the back . Does anyone how wide of a rim can go on the back because I thought the 66 were a little difficult when it comes to room. And where can I find new 14 inch rims ? Thanks Billy

No.one has new 14" rims. All new ones are 15".

National moparts in Canada has good uses ones..

Yeah, nobody is supplying wider 14 inchers as far as I know. I am considering getting my stock rear wheels widened, because I want to keep the original hubcaps if possible.

I am a steel rim guy as well...I do understand your desire and dilemma. If you can get the center put in a bigger rim width would be great. I am not sure if they have those available anymore but it has been awhile since I last checked.

If you have 14" steel rims now, you might have to hit the junkyard and look for wider 14" rims off of another vehicle. You need to measure the inside diameter of the rim. Measure the existing steel rim center portion to see what the width is. You could run into a difference in the measurements. You'll need to cut the centers out of both rims and transplant the center section. Find someone who can jig up the rim and spin it to make sure it spins true and start welding. Or you can check with these guys and see if they can help you.
