The book I have on my car, 1966 plymouth belevedere II, states the car came with 14 x 5.0 K wheels. I discovered the K is supposed to stand for Kelsey Hayes wheels. Some places I was reading that 5.0 were rally wheels other places say 5.0 could have had hubcaps. My car came with hubcaps, which I have. My problem is that the wheels were stolen off the car. The replacement wheels rub really badly.
Is there a way to find out what wheel size I need?
Will the hubcaps work on any 14x5.0 wheel? (I found some corvear wheels)
Do I have a shot at finding the right wheels to use the hubcaps?
Thank,
Shawneen

No rallye wheels in 66.

If you're not concerned about 100% correct, but still want 14", go to a u-pull and get some Volare/Aspen wheels. They should be 14x5 (or 5.5) and should work fine. The main difference is the size of the center "tang" area that is supposed to hold dog dish style hub caps. If you have full "wheel cover" hub caps, you will be fine. Finding 100% correct wheels will be much more of a challenge, and more expensive, but doable.

...of course finding 14" tires is getting harder and harder. You could get 15x7 5th Ave wheels. I have them on my 66 Coronet, and have 68 dog dishes. This lets me buy cheap and easy to find tires. Of course the wheel covers don't fit, but I like the dog dishes, and I also have a set of 14" "Magnum 500" Road wheels when I get tired of the dog dish on body color steelie look.

Thanks, I was not sure if my full wheel cover hubcaps would work on any wheel of the proper size.
