This was removed from a 67 coronet R/T. I had it freshened up by Transmissions by Bruce. I found out that it is a "Crash Box" that has every other tooth on the synchros ground off for faster shifting while racing.Asking 1000.00 plus shipping from 44333.

After it was rebuilt they painted it. I have to clean off the paint to get it. Here are the pictures I took of the numbers that are legible.

Looks like you have a 71-4 B & E body trans...

68 up would have a raised area on the passenger side with serieal no's , 67 earlier don't have double tail stock mounts , its a racers melt , early case , later tail , ? what gears , course pitch , but what gearing , it looks like a small front input bearing and no stamping og serial #'s . best guess 66 or 67 mainly . still its got hemi stuff in it .

"Racers Melt" perfect description!!!! The trans was used in a 67 coronet with a dana 60 with 355 gears and ran low 12s. I never ran this transmission in the car. it came with it when I acquired the car. The engine builder and car owner died before i could get and real info on the guts of the motor and trans.When it was taken to be refurbished the tranny builder said it was in great shape inside and he only used a minor bearing and seal kit.I had dreams of swapping trannys for the track and realized that i could use the funds to fuel the resto and i already had the 23 spline clutch setup.

Transmissions by Bruce in Parma Ohio did the refurbishing.
