1955 Dodge Cornet/Suburban Wagon

I just bought a 55 Wagon. I'm looking for a few parts. Are the front end parts swappable with the two and four door regular cars? I need windshield trim.

- Red Ram V8
- Middle windshield chrome trim
- Front turn signal round marker lights
- Front bumper mounts.

Yes there swappable. Your 55 has a single peek hood chrome. Where 56 has a double. Youll also notice the grill area from those two years are different.

your 55 was a 6 volt. 56 went to 12 volt. Sedan windshields are the same as 2 dr post 4 dr sedan and wagon. Hardtops are different. 55 had low grill teeth on the grill chrome. 56 grill teeth were taller.

both had king pin suspension. If you drive it and it feels like its rolling. Rear springs were weak.

There is a form called the forwardlook group. Where there is a huge following on these.

I sold my '55 Plymouth wagon just over a year ago. Front suspensions are probably the same. If so, the steering linkage parts are different between V8 and flathead 6 models.

1955 and 1956 Dodge parking lamp lenses are the same. Part number 1604210. Should be easy enough to find. Check with Big M auto salvage in CA for missing trim parts.
