1962 Polara 500 project.
I bought it in 1995 and has been in the garage ever since. It came with a 1971-383, slip yoke 727 and a 3:54 DANA. Body & paint was done when purchased. Painted with DuPont Centari acrylic enamel in Flame Red. Re- chromed bumpers.
What it needs: Front floor pans (left & right) engine & dash re-wiring (all orig) probably new shocks and minor suspension parts to upgrade. I put a new and complete brake system on it from the master cylinder, power booster down to all new lines, shoes, springs and wheel cylinders. It has original glass except the windshield is cracked. The bucket seats are not original.
It runs & drives "OK" due to a trans seal leak. It has a console shifter due to the newer 727. It comes with a stock 1963 Chrysler 413 engine along with a ball & trunnion 727. I was going to "do" a max wedge clone but I never got around to it. Time to pass it on. The pictures were taken in 2008 but it still looks like this. It's just sittin in the garage.
