Just got this but going to try and move down the road if I can. Took in on trade and need money more than car. Is true "9" code police car. Is out of Del Rio Texas and was supposed to have been Highway Patrol Car. Was 361 golden commando car but now has '67 383 w/3 spd manual. Has alot of its original police items...ie. antennas, lights and switches. Original big giant alteranator is in trunk. Car runs and drives but brakes need work. Exterior of body is very nice but floors need replaced. Was rubber floor mat car and floors are bad. Subframes all good just pan metal. Prior owner put sheet metal down over holes but not good stuff. Trunk solid, quarters solid, fenders solid.
Needs restored but great start for a neat car. 11 inch brakes, sure-grip rear, was dual exhaust car, big block manual car. Paint is 50 footer. Located near St Louis MO but on IL side in Trenton, IL
PM through here if interested. Asking $3750 oboView attachment 101293

Did complete front brake job on car today. Shoes, wheel cylinders, hardware and lines. Replaced drums also. Brakes work now.

cool car rolling thunder and i love the look and placement of those rollers (red lights). I see you are just down the road from me ... i'm in Mascoutah. Good luck with the sale!

what do the red lights do when you fire them up? alternate pulses of light?

they remind me of the light the hippy had on his mini bike they used to fool the cops with in the original Vanishing Point

I haven't messed with getting them working yet. Theres a ton of switches and stuff on dash and none seem to turn lights on but I do see wiring coming out of them. I'll trace wiring down probably tomorrow cause Im curious also if they pulse. It used to have a red rotator on top too so wonder if just solid red? Will check out and let ya know.

Thanks for the reply. Feel free to stop by sometime.

That is a cool car !

They may have unhooked the lights check local laws before hooking them back up and running the car around. For some reason a law sticks out in my mind about restoring cop cars.

That is an awesome looking and very very neat car and piece of history.
