Greetings B Body Folks,

My 63 came with absolutely no headliner, sail panels or windlace when I bought it. It is a 4 door post. Can anyone tell me if the headliner originally was cardboard or if it was cloth/vinyl with bows? Also, if someone could post a couple of pictures of their interior so I have some idea how it should look, I would be most appreciative. I can purchase a headliner conversion kit or just the headliner (but would need to find bows) but there is a big difference in price so I want to make sure I'm buying the right thing.

Thanks for any help offered.

That headliner was offered only in vinyl with bows. Id say that you could find a parts car with a set of original bows fairly easily. Just make sure they mark which one is which because while similar they have specific locations.

Here are a couple pics from my 64 two door sedan, which will be virtually the same.

I have a set of bows out of a 65 Belvd.4dr! I think they are the same! Get back to me if your interested.

Hi there MoparGirl!

Our 63 Polara 500 is an early model, made in Sept 62 and has the same style headlining that I believe 62 models had. Not sure how easy it is to get this style tho as there still arent many repro parts made for 62 cars :icon_rolleyes:

Any idea when yours rolled off the production line?

(and yes i know the dome light is crooked :disgust: )

I don't have any photos of my head liner but its perforated while cloth, no cardboard. This is in a 63 Dodge 440 2dr. ht.

Update:

Thanks for the responses. I'm about 99% sure what was originally in it was the cloth with bows. I did experience a "bonus" moment though when I took the seats out this morning. Tucked neatly on the underside of the back seat between the framing and foam was the broadcast build sheet. It is all intact and still very readable (ha! mice didn't get it!).

Although I have no clue how to decipher some of it, it is still very cool to have found it.

Thanks everyone!!
