I have a '63 Fury Convert with 14x 6-inch Magnum wheels and Firestone wide oval (from Coker tires). I would like to upgrade to 15 inch with the widest radial tire set up possible. However, the tires I have (front) seem to just clear as it is when locked r/l! I installed a factory sway bar (police package) so this is one issue and there is just about no clearance remaining between the frame when locked either direction at the rear of the tire. I've read of owners putting larger tires on with no problem...what am I missing? Thanks for any advice.

You'll need to see what backspace you currently have and go from there, preferably 4.5 inch

I run 215/70-15's up front with 30 x 9 x 15 Hoosiers in the back. Ron

Hi Ron, I can't help you but maybe you can help me! Where did you get the police package sway bar?

Here's another example: 15X8" with 4-1/4" b.s and 255-70R15 tires on the rear, and 15X5" & 205-75R15's on the front. After some driving,I do have a slight rub mark on the rears, but very mild. A wheel with 4-1/2" or 4-3/4" b.s. would have been better in my case. There's 3400# SS springs on the back as well.
