Belvedere sweden

Hi
Found this place when I was surfing the internet for parts to put on my Plymouth Belvedere 1963 project. So, I will start with a little presentation about the car:
Imported 1965 from the US when a Swedish man moved home (He must have loved the car). It is a light blue 4 door Belvedere with 318 angine and pushbutton 727. The car then changed owner a few times in early 1974. At this time, the poorly made paintjob when the car left the us was falling apart. The hard winters and that US cars where cheap here hade made the car very beaten up. In 1974 a yound dude bought the car for what we call "coffe money" and started to work on it. The one winter the owner drove the car right into a light pole and wrecked the front fender/hood etc. By this time the crossmember for the torsion bars where rusted badly and one mount broke away..
The car where left standing outside for many years. Until 2012 and late January when i looked at it after work one day. It looked rusty but was to be complete but a little disasembled. The rust didn't look to bad in the dark winter night.
So I picked it up and drove it home. It did'nt look so good in daylight and I wondered what i had gotten myself into this time. At home i took the front end apart and took a closer look. The crossmember was completly rusted apart and the front floors where where badly rusted. Tha bondo had fallen away from the bruised rear wheel openings and there where rust all over the car. The only thing good is the frame rails and rear floors.
So, what to do?? I bought a 1969 road runner crossmember. Some amd floor pans and road runner front seat reinforcements (exactly like belvedere 1963's) and started welding.
The engine (318 cui poly) was stuck and woulden't loosen up even when i put diesel in it, so a 318LA 1989 ram engine was bought and reworked to fit my Belvedere. The 727 tranny is at this time not tested but looks good. Hope it works after 35years sleep. The interior was good exept for curved door panels and a little hole in the front bench seat.
This is now:
My car is standing high for me to have some work room for the crossmember change/modification. The interior are lifted down to the basement and I have started to sand som parts down and prime it. I got a new front fender from a 1963 Belvedere thats being scrapped (there are 14 of these cars/model in Sweden), one is dead (parts car). Iäm now looking for a drive shaft and other things for my Belvedere. Ill post some pictures!
