My 1963 Plymouth Savoy (2d sedan) is supposed to be white with blue interior. The upper inner part of the door window frame shoud be painted blue, I think the same blue as the dash. The border of white and blue paint is clearly visible on the front side of the door, where it has been preserved under the rubber molding. I need to find out where the border is in the rear. Does anybody have pics of doors with original paint.... I think also a 4d sedan should be similar.

Mine's a 64 and has been repainted- so not really what you're asking for- but this is how it's done from what I've seen.

Tnx HitIt... that kind of confirms what I had in mind. There is also a white 1963 Savoy on eBay with similar border -> Link

The car on eBay link has Galen decoded fender tag with "WWD" as paint code. I have also seen paint codes "WWW" and "WW1"... what is the logic behind these?

I have had my fender tag decoded and the decoder suggests "WWW" for my car. The IBM card and Darrel Davis' book says "WW1". Is this assembly plant dependent or does early vs. late build date make the difference?

Hi Anssi,

I can mail you pictures of the 63 fury tonight if you like.

best regards, Marcel

Hi Marcel,

Do you have pics from your Savoy? If the interior and exterior were different color, chances are that the upper door frame is painted interior color inside.
