1963 sport fury fender tag decode

this is a 1963 sport fury convertible vin is 343122xxxx, any help decoding fender tag, what engine came in it? i do know this is a lynch road car

Aloha, Well my 63 Plymouth Sport Fury convertible came with a 361 BB , push button auto , AC , Power steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows and was White body with Red & white interior. If that Helps ? I also was trying to decode fender tag

I own a 63 Sport Fury Convertible .If the car is a Lynch road built car ,under the A on the fender tag it is as follows ,no code is base engine 318 ,3 under A is 361 ,5 under A is 383 ,9 under A is 426 .Under the J is the convertible top color 6 is Black top,7 is White.It looks like your car was built June 6 ,1963 ,Red car ,Red and White interior ,318 ,Automatic ,5 under the H is heater ,under S if it was a 2 it would be a sold before it was built car .if it is blank ,it was a car built for dealer stock .I hope this Helps .I have owned Many 63 Plymouths thru the years ,and am familiar with them ,and the fender Tags .

Thank you I also got a original 1963 426 max wedge might have to put in it, what do you think that motor should bring its all there

It is a little hard to put a value on a Original Max wedge engine ,it depends how Complete it is .Things like Original Oil pans ,Air cleaners ,Carbs ,Exhaust manifolds ,Crank ,water pump ,alternator pulleys ,All play a big part in the value of the engine ,Some of those parts are Impossible to find ,but reproduction are available for some .Also Original Engine Blocks are very scarce ,But if the Engine you have is Complete ,It is a Very rare Item and Valuable ,Good luck with your Car .I love 63 Plymouth Soft tops ,Especially Sport Furys .

63SFC your car is one of very few I would say that came with that many options ,on the trim tag it is a S2 car which means it was sold before it was built (special ordered).Built on or around December 28 ,361 car automatic ,Heater ,AC,Power windows ,power steering ,power brakes ,White body ,Red and white interior ,White top ,A Fancy Sport Fury ,A lot of the cars I have run across thru the years never had many options .To get a total run down on your cars trim tag I would suggest getting in touch with the Chrysler Historical and have them pull the IBM build card for your car ,They charge a fee but it will give you some good Information ,on that rare Plymouth .

Plus your car being a factory AC car should have the Solex tinted windows ,Another Cool feature .

Yes a very nicely equipped car ,not many 63 Sport Furys had a option list like that .

Did nobody catch this sheet is wrong?

It says "1st digit car line 3 = 6 cylinder"

Actually the 3 = 8 cylinder and 2 = 6 cylinder.

My Fury with a 361 starts 333 and my Savoy 6 cylinder is 213.

That will be fine ,it list it as 361 V/8 car ,I don't currently have any extra parts .

If they got that basic item wrong I would wonder what else was wrong.
