Did all 63 B body V8 cars come with a 8 3/4?

My /6, low end optioned '63 330 did...

As far as I know they all had 8 3/4 diffs. They had a standard duty pumpkin (punkin?) the 741 and heavy duty 742. You could get a Suregrip in either one. Dana 60s weren't until later.

I believe the earliest 8 1/4 started showing up in B Bodies around 68-69 318 cars.
I saw my first back in 1973 when a friend bought a 69 318 Belvedere.
So I have to agree all 63 B bodies had 8 3/4''.
BUT my favorite saying is "You never say never when it comes to Ma Mopar".

Would this be true for 6 cyl cars also?

All 8 cyl in ‘63 had an 8-3/4. Lower perf had 1-3/8 stem (741) higher perf (Max Wedge, 300-J) had 1-3/4 stem.

Six cyl had an 8-1/4. This is the 8-1/4 that fits into an 8-3/4 housing. Looks nearly identical on the outside but has a smaller ring inside.

True, That's what my 65 Slant 3 speed Belvedere had. It was a 3.31gear ratio.
