I have searched high and low all over the internet and have found almost no information on 1964 dodge 440 post cars, for instance production no# and what engine combinations were available. if you have any info please respond.

Thanks Stan

Engines available were:
225 slant 6
318 v-8
383 v-8 w/ 2 barrel carb
383 v-8 w/ 4 barrel carb.
426 v-8 w/ 4 barrel carb.
426 Ram Charger Competition v-8

I have the production numbers somewhere and will post when found. Hey when you get a chance put some pics up of your 440.

I don't believe there were any 383-2 available on these cars back then only 383-4.

I'm just going by a Sales brochure from the 64 Polara, 440 and 330 series.:edgy: If it's in the brochure then it must have been available. :tongueflap:

I am not real familiar with 65 back cars but I DO have a factory Datat Book for both 1965 AND 1966 Dodges. 1964 MAY be different You may be mixing up the larger cars with what we like to think were the B bodies back then. 1964 I believe did bot truely have a B body as the larger cars shared the same body platforms unlike 1965(?) and for sure 1966.

However, in both 65 and 66 the b bodies were only available with a 383-4 but the C bodies WERE available with a 383-2.

1964 Dodges

DODGE 330 SERIES — (ALL ENGINES) — For 1964. Dodges were totally restyled once again. Many Dodge enthusiasts consider the 1964 models to be one of the most attractive ever built. Smooth styling was the keynote and every line seemed to flow into the next line. The grille was the epitome of simplicity. It began as small chrome moldings around the outboard headlights, narrowed slightly at the inboard headlights and featured a vertical bar theme. The Dodge name, in block letters, was spaced equally across the front of the hood. From the windshield back. the 1964 Dodges shared bodies with the previous models, except at the 'C' pillar of two-door hardtops, which was wider at the top than at the bottom. The basic 1963 body shell, combined with the new front end, produced a very attractive car, indeed. The 330 was the base trim level Dodge and included chrome windshield and rear window moldings; turn signals, electric windshield wipers: sun visors, PCV system: power tailgate window on nine-passenger station wagon and the Dodge name, in block letters, on the right side of the trunk lid. The '330' model designation was carried on the roof 'C' pillars.

Hey 696pack- I've got a factory 383 2bbl 64 post 2dr. Pretty rare from what I've gathered. 47 made with a four speed like mine. Add that to your massive archive of Mopar info!
Joe- I'm really looking forward to seeing this production numbers you have.

Sounds like I stand corrected.

As I said my Mopar knowledge is primarily 1966-1974 and I could really care less about 72-up with the exception of the 78 LRETs. Also not a fan of the 70-71 B bodies although the Plymouths look better than the Dodges for those years. Sorry for the sidebar.

1964 dodge 440 2 dr post car

Specifically I'm looking for the total # of 1964 2dr post cars built. I'm also trying to find out how many were produced with 426 wedge and how many with HEMIS.
thanks again: Stan

P.S. I will post pics of car shortly. I found this car in the Philly area and it is in very restorable shape. Trunk and floorboards are not rotted out. I've been looking for a good 2 dr post car for a very long time. I feel like I hit the lottery!!!!!!!!!

I know there's a website with production numbers... can't remember the URL but I believe it's something with Hamtrack in it. Google didn't help me this time...anyone?

This is from Galen Govier book......not much help on 440 post sedans though.
