I'm not afraid to tell you my age! So anyhow, these guys and many others, using Fords, Chevys, ect. would travel all over putting on these exhibitions they claimed to show off their talants. On the second Youtube posted, they even made a statement that they paid for their cars. I think the manufactures had a hand in it just like the Stocks and Super Stockers of the day. "Watch them on Sunday, buy them on Monday" Did you see any truth to this in your new book?

My father took my older brother and I to a US 30's National meet in '64 and I saw these guys. Could'nt figure out why they were trying to tear up perfectly good cars this way?
