1964 dodge polara 2dr hdtp

Just noticed after stripping paint from trunk lid on the underside inside horizontal structure there are 4 large diameter round holes and 2 oval shaped holes on the passenger side. Only 1 round hole on the drivers side. Factory or dealer modification ?

Car is 100% stock
