Looks like the same one on my first '64, triple black, back in the 70's. (Copied your pdf for you)

Kinda odd to get a 383 motor with a 2bbl but can't beat the price!

That was an odd thing with the one I had. Bought it from the original owner. It even had A/C but there was the two barrel carb. Needless to say it didn't stay on there long. I rebuilt the whole top end, including cam. Found a 456 Dana rear. Had the car in the mid thirteens with the stock converter. Raced at 75-80 and US 30 in York Pa. Drove the car to work everyday too. Fun ride!

Does anyone know what the difference in cost between the 383 two barrel, 383 4 barrel, and the 426 street wedge was?

My 64 Polara (I'm the second owner) was a factory 383 2bbl. as well.... came with an 833 4 speed. The original owner had the dealer install a 4bbl. and install a sure grip after a couple months. He kept all the paperwork and documented everything. Its currently undergoing a rotisserie restoration in my garage.

For the 1964 Dodge B-body. The engine option costs were as follows:
Code Engine MSR Price.
05 383-2 $71.20
06 383-4 $122.10
14 426-4 $482.54 inc. 4-spd manual trans.
14 426-4 $514.45 inc. automatic trans.

the way the engineers thought back when to offer so many combinations of motors, carbs, rears, etc. was amazing; would have liked to be the old fly on da wall listening to those guys chat and experiment and then avoid the flyswatter! The performance (HP) is obviously so elevated from a 2 to 4bbl having done it a couple times on my 350 Olds my dad and I restoed (semi-cloned it to 442) and then my 318 poly (63 Fury). Geez, to have a hefty 383 motor with a 2bbl just seems like putting a muzzle on it. Who would be thinking saving gas buying such a motor? Or ok I want the motor but don't want to pay the extra 45 bucks for the 4bbl. I'm sure there were perfectly logical reasons just not so much my logic..

Back then I would guess a 383 2 barrel would make a good tow vehicle.
