I am looking at a 1964 Dodge Max Wedge vin 6442121207. While looking for information on this year car i am seeing cars with either two head lights or four lights ( two larger and two smaller). When I run a vindeacder it shows the car to be a "1964 Dodge Polara 500" Right or Wrong? Maybe 330 Polara.

The above picture has four lights in the grill.

Only the 64 Dodge 330 2dr sedan A864 race Hemi's had 2 headlight grills

The car in the picture is trimmed as a 440 body style. Polara & Polara 500 had 3 tail lights and 2 chrome strips on the trunk lid. Also the side trim was 1 thick piece on the polara & 500, the 500 had engine turning on the side trim. 330 dodges came in sedans, 2 or 4 door, But 440 dodges came in all body styles. The 2 headlight cars where factory race cars as stated above. The first three #s in the VIN are 644 so that is a high trim polara 500 that has been retrimed as a 440. A lot of work to do that as a 440 has 2 sets of holes down the side for the trim and the 500 has 1 set (440 has 2 thin side trims) Also one tail light hole had to be filled, You should be able to see that from the trunk side. The interior on a 500 would have had more support for inner seat bolts for the 500 bucket seats. Remember all VIN tags in 64 where spot welded on, not riveted or screwed.

The four headlamp cars had the same size headlights. It's the chrome work that makes them look different

That would be me!!!

Most folks refer to this treatment as the Super Stock or Hemi grill. We did our own from two nice grills that we had and did it a bit differently than the originals by extending the overall length a tiny bit so that all of the vertical bars had an even number of thin bars between the thicker bars. I'm pretty happy with the end result and the look generally means business as you can see.

Well, at least that grille is cut and done correctly…
