This is a buddy's car and unfortunately he has to sell due to health reasons. The XL means factory buckets and console and this car has only one owner since 1973. The 390 and 4 spd are original to the car and the car retains it's original colors as well as the black CA plates. This is a very clean car. As a nice bonus it has a tri power set up, an MSD billet distributor, steel tube tri Y headers and a disc brake conversion. It can use some front springs and maybe a set of shocks because it feels really spongy but otherwise drives well. PM me for details and I can pass you on to the owner. Price is $25K or reasonable offer.

Nice car...
In 1998 I bought a 63 Galaxie 500 XL
16,000 original miles
4-speed top loader
406 CI
405 HP
Factory RARE headers
Solid lifter from factory
3 Holley 2BBLs
(The gaskets were dry, opened up carbs replaced gaskets, ink from factory was STILL on carbs!)
Paid $8,000 for car, sold 1 year later for $17,000
Perfect paint, looked new.
I should NEVER have sold it!

I have owned 5 1964 Ford's, I think that's one of their best years. Dodge & Plymouth in 1964, I have had at least 10 or 12, that was the time when I was young & indestructible.

Back when Fords weren't Furds. That's a beautiful car.

First tell your friend he is in our thoughts and prayers. I know what its like to go through some health problems and sell a car off.

I think in the early 60s Mopar and Ford turned out some of the best body lines in cars. There are a few Chevys I have seen that look good but something about the Mopars and Fords that have a body that just looks tough.

My dad had a 63 back in the day and we bought one a few years ago that was a 390 car black with a green and black bench seat. I miss that one.

Great looking car and a great price.
