1964 Plymouth steering shaft

rebuilding my 1964 Plymouth steering column shaft see pics there are 2 grooves for the C clip which one do i use for the round grommet and nylon bushing ? I already bought the grommet and nylon bushing, the one in the picture is trash PM me THX
