The 383ciu 4BBL from my 1965 Dodge Coronet now carries a hidious Mopar Performance aircleaner. I found a original one but only has one snorkel. I was wondering: should it be one or two snorkels?

Thanks!

Shouldn't it be a small black one the size of the one on the 273 Formula S?

Well, that's the question...I found several aircleaners on several types of engines but can't make up which one's correct for a 383 4BLL

Here's the optionlist (all black):

A) small, /6 style unsilenced
B) large, silenced 2 snorkels
C) large, silenced 1 snorkel: dent, snorkel, dent
D) large, silenced 1 snorkel: snorkel, dent, dent

Aaargh?

I'm trying to find one of the small ones for my 65 Satellite. I had a64 Polara 500 once all original. It had the small one on a 383 4bbl.

Here,s one I have from a 67 383 4 barrel

That was on a 383? That looks like on for a 67 R/T or a 67 GTX. That one is bad ***. That would look great but, if you are going for period gorrect I guess not. I've even seen the small one on a 66 Satellite 383 car. It was all original also. Original owner letting set outside sinking into the ground. I don't get it.

@Beezee: that's not period correct for my car. That's for sure. The snorkels are tapered and that's not correct for 65.

If it was the unsilenced a/c it would be the small one! Single snorkle for all others.

The 64 Polara 500 was a non air car. The Satellite was an air car. I think it was what ever they had laying around.
