1965 Bucket seat question

Does anyone know the difference between a 1965 Chrysler 300 C body bucket seat and a 1964 Dodge B body bucket seat. Are they interchangeable and are they the same size.

Also does anyone know if the 64-65 A body bucket seats are the same.

B-body seats are smaller!The a-bdy. seats are the same size as the b's.

The a body is about 1 inch in width smaller. Dont think so. take an a body seat and try to bolt it on the seat mounts that are bolted to the floor, you'll see the difference.

I was informed by numerous people that the A-body ones are the same. And that is what I have a set of 65 dart gt seats in my 64 polara.. Seem to fit just fine.

And the catolog I have, Classic Industries, lists that the 60-65 Barracuda, dart, lancer and Valiant share the same replacement seat foam as a 62-64 fury, 62-65 belvedere, 62-64 polara, 65 coronet and 65 satellite all as the same replacement foam. The vinyl would be different, and most likely the seat tracks, but the framing and the foam, to my understanding was all the same...

C-body I know is wider...

I agree, but putting a body seats onto b body mounts the holes in the floor pan wont line up.

so what I am reading is that the a-body seats are the same as b-body seats and will work in my b-body, but just the seat tracks and the vinyl pattern are different.

That is what i have found... but everyone has their own opinion.. I actually used the a-body tracks... not hard to modify stuff, its not original, but its my car and they work.

Kind of like everyone told me a 1970 road runner pistol grip shifter wont fit in my car.. that it would hit the dash.... if they dont believe me, i can go take a picture.. fits just fine...

I believe the difference for A/B is the seat frame/tracks.
