1965 dodge coronet 500 door panels backing ???????

Took the door panels off my 1965 dodge coronet 500 the backing of them looks like indoor house hold trailer paneling both of them are the same was this normal or what. plus i am wanting to remove the doors from the car body for painting the jams what kind of problems will I run into?

I'm guessing that they aren't factory ..., looks like someone restored them once before.

That's not factory! Someone over the past 50 years thought wood paneling was the ticket.
