1965 Dodgeto 64 Plymouth sway bar fit??

Hi Guys,
I recently bought a bunch of parts from a 65 coronet to use on my 64 Plymouth wagon. I`m in a place in Az for the winter where I can`t work on my car so I took the car and bars to a local shop [good guy]. He called me to say the bars won`t fit...too wide.
I really expected that these two B Bodies would interchange these parts........any thoughts...I didn`t see the bars up to the frame etc. Any thoughts appreciated.

Seems like they would fit. Are you sure they were actually on the 65?
