im new to this site but to mopars. ran across an add today fro 65 polara 500 383 4bbl auto car for 1500. went and had a look at it, seems to have minimal rust, but in the normal areas,ie: lower front fenders, both quarters, minimal on the doors, front floor pans. trunk pan good, rear floors good, frame good. most interior is there save for the console lid. engine is the original 383 4bbl. has a an 8 3/4, not sure of ratio. drivers door glass is cracked. car has all of the a/c still there minus the compressor and hoses. engine not running, ownere states it started knocking and quit. what would be a real world price for this car? is it worth the asking price? im really wanting a 68-69 b-body but this could serve me well. thanks for your help! mtolley

Also a 65 Polara is a c body.

i miss spoke, its a 65 coronet 500, id also been looking at a 63 polara and had that on the brain when i typed this post. sorry for the confusion. in the little bit of research ive done, it seems there were less than 5000 of these built that year. i know that such a small production run has to increase its value,or atleast it does with my 2002 ford lightning. does this info change things in your minds? thanks again!

not knowing the condition that the different grades mean im going to grade it as a #5 car since it dont run. that puts it at a $1300 car at best..... owner wont budge on the price. think ill pass. thanks!
