I'm pretty sure that some of you have seen, heard about, or even purchased one of the new 1966 through 1970 B-Body reproduction dash pads that are now available, but for those of you who haven't, here's a listing by model year, color and price. The pads listed here are made from high quality foam placed over a steel frame and covered in the correct style vinyl to match your original just like the original dash pads were made by the factory OEM Chrysler suppliers. These pads are very nice and cost MUCH less that pads sold by other suppliers such as "Just Dashes" and others, so why put up with one of those poor fitting "dash caps" when you can buy a high quality dash pad for not much more money? You folks who own a 1968 model year B-Body should be THRILLED, as those are getting VERY tough to find these days!

There are several companies that are selling these, but I'm going to refer you to Mike Ross at B/E&A Restoration Parts because he is a licensed Mopar reproduction parts retailer by the Chrysler Corporation and he is a QUALITY person to do business with!

Colors other than black, are as close as posible to the original colors, but may not be a perfect match to your cars original interior.

I have attached a few pictures of some of the various model year pads below so that you can get an idea of what these new reproduction pads look like

You can contact Mike using one of the following methods:

Did you notice if there was a '68 green pad available?

There wasn't one listed on B/E&A's web site, but I bet if you called Mike Ross, he could probably do one for you, as they are reproducing the 69-70 pads in green. If not, you could get a Tan 68 pad and dye it to match your cars interior and STILL be spending MUCH less than you would at some of the retailers that are charging $600.00 to $800.00 to redo your old original pad. I already have one of the 66-67 B-Body pads in black on order for my 66 Coronet 500 and can't wait to get it in my hot little hands to install in my car!

That dark green was a metallic color. So while one could be "dyed" the right shade, it would only be close because of no metallic in it

That's true Tem, but they still beat the hell out of a torn up 41 year old original pad and unless you're building a 100 point show car, these new reproduction pads should work great for most of the rest of us. :) Until now, you either had to go to somewhere like Just Dashes and pay a fortune to have them rebuild your old pad, or you could buy one of those dash caps that frankly, are no where near as nice as these new pads are, or you could try to find a driver's quality original pad on ebay and hope it's not as dried up as your original pad is. As far as I'm concerned, these new pads are the ONLY way to go for my cars.

Good find, I needs one of dem pads...Thanks Richard

I wasn't able to get enough of the 66-67 B-Body owners interested in having the under dash mounted defroster duct nozzles made, but I won't give up on trying my best to keep everyone who owns one of these awesome cars aware of as many of the new parts being reproduced for our cars as I can. As far as most of the reproduction parts folks think, there isn't much interest in the 66-67 B-Body cars, even by their owners, but I'm going to do my best to prove them all wrong! If we want parts made for our cars, then we have to BUY them when they are offered, just like the E-Body guy's and the 68-70 B-Body owners do.

I am VERY excited about these new dash pads, as they look to be a VERY nicely done part, with metal frames, high quality foam and the correct vinyl for each application at a VERY good price! The 66-67 B-Body pads will be available in a few weeks and I already have a black one on order with Mike, so I will give you guy's a full report as soon at I receive it, but seeing that Mike is a licensed dealer by the Chrysler Corporation to sell reproduction parts for our cars, I'm POSITIVE that these new dash pads will be a VERY high quality parts!

wait...

is that anything close to being the same thing?:edgy:

Hey all, was thinking about ordering one of these repop pads for my 70 RR. Anyone already have one installed? What's the quality?? Thanks!

I'm in for a set of those defrost vents if they ever get made. Hopefully they will be a better reinforced design so that the ears won't crack and break off like the junk factory parts.

Thanks for that link. I enjoyed the commentary, and the line from that killer classfic film, FMJ.

No problem 70Fish......The least I could do is spread to word about the swamp mud PG is calling a dash pad.
