1966/7 Charger Trunk Medallion

Hello ,
Just received my new Medallion, Of course it came with no mounting hardware. I believe the original used 3/8 thread cutting pal nuts. I have one of the original but it is too rusted to use. is there a specific used for the medallion. I went to autozone and bought a few different sizes thy all just stripped out and would not cut the threads.

I've had trouble getting the self treading nuts that come with repo stuff to work.
Wrong size or stud too hard.
Hence I'm often afraid of breaking a stud.
Even if I'm able to get them to work it gives me the same concern..
Some times it's difficult to access the stud and a pal nut is preferred.
Still in that case I make it a practice to pre thread the stud with the nut before installation.
Another thing I've done when the stud is stubborn is use a die and a machine nut instead.

You also need the gaskets for it. Did they come with?

I had to buy some assortment pack of self threading nuts to get ones that fit/work.
