Which shifter came from the factory on a 1966 Belvedere II with Hemi, no console? The Hurst 4-speed with white ball or the Inland shifter with reverse lockout tee? thanks.
Thanks for the tip!If you can find a nice one for your car, buy it and put it away. Do not use it! They are so sloppy they are hard on your transmission.
It will be hard on your engine too, if you miss a shift.
Good for originality, Bad for use.
Yes, this is just my opinion from 56 years with my 66 Belvedere.
I believe Mr. Sox was extremely successful with the Inand. If you can find a nice one for your car, buy it and put it away. Do not use it! They are so sloppy they are hard on your transmission.

Yep, but he was MR. SOX! Very few other people are. Leave the Hurst in it.I believe Mr. Sox was extremely successful with the Inand.
Are you suggesting he was much less successful when they abandoned the inland shifter?I believe Mr. Sox was extremely successful with the Inand.
Not at all. I think the average non competitive Inland owner could survive with it. If someone doesn’t care for original appearance, go Hurst. Are you suggesting he was much less successful when they abandoned the inland shifter?
